Technical Trainer
Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Writes literature and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance lectures. Conducts classes regarding safety, security, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment.
Justification
Training Team is working on several high level projects that are going to need a lot of training assistance in addition to the three FTE Training Staff. OISP – training for DODD Staff, County Boards, Providers, Guardians and Individuals. Some of the training will be recorded or written but there will be a need for face to face training once traveling opens up. Grants Management training for both internal and external stakeholders. MyTrailhead training creation for internal DODD Training, Creation of training for DODD
Onboarding, DC onboard training. Training both written, recorded and live for DODD applications as they are being built into the new Salesforce platform, as well as other legacy application updates/changes.
Years of relevant experience:
3+ years of experience in a technical field

Preferred Education:
4 year college degree in computer science or related field with advanced study preferred.

Role Description:
 Prepare and conduct technical training programs.
 Assess training needs and certification requirements.
 Prepare training material and classroom agenda.
 Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional
materials, and training aids).
 Assist in design of computer-based and multimedia curriculum.
 Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.
 Manage the training program in accordance with business needs and regulatory
requirements.
 Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and
other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences, and
workshops.
