Requirement Description:

The selected consultant will work on the Distributed Systems Support (server and storage infrastructure) team and also work closely with other IT technical staff to maintain existing systems; evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems and Ohio Dept of Public Safety standards and processes; architect high availability solutions around new business and system requirements using existing and new technologies.

1. Coordinate, work and communicate with technical staff in the design, build and maintenance of systems.
2. Evaluate and document current state of select infrastructure.
3. Monitor project target dates and milestones to ensure work is on schedule. Take corrective actions if an assignment begins to slip its schedule.
4. Prepare status reports for project team.
5. Perform knowledge transfer to DPS staff by documenting, mentoring, and/or teaching a small class on a specific topic.

Interview:
During the interview process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance. Resource will have a background check conducted by ODPS.
