Open Contractor Assignment
J0b Title: PR4 Web Designer Contractor

Overview:
Designs and constructs web sites and pages using a variety of graphic techniques and features. Maintains and provides ongoing design of websites including navigation flow, page layout, and creative graphic design. Functions by performing the duties listed below.
Job Responsibilities:
• Design the layout, style and flow of websites and web applications
• Produce media for digital distribution
• Create logos and marketing collateral for branding services
• Write code that accurately renders web designs using standard web languages and techniques (primary focus in ASP.NET with MVC framework)
• Design and code new web applications
• Consult with customers and managers to plan, develop, manage and complete projects
• Work with a team of designers and developers to achieve project goals
• Troubleshoot issues with existing web applications and provide additional technical assistance to end users
• Maintain and update content for existing websites
• Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Required:
• Proficiency with standard web programming languages, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Proficiency with graphic design programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Focus on using web development best practices
• Focus on user-friendly and accessible design and interface experience
• Ability to operate a personal computer using the Microsoft Office Suite of software under the Microsoft Windows operating system
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work with a team to manage all aspects of a project
Preferred:
• Proficiency with web programming frameworks and protocols, including ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, AJAX and XML
• Experience with server-side programming and database languages such as ASP.NET, ColdFusion and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Visual Studio, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Dreamweaver
The Screening Process:
• At least one onsite technical screening with FCDC Director of Application Development. This will include a technical assessment.
