Requirement Description: This position is with the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Office of Technical Services The Program Manager (PM) will be working on behalf of the State on a complex, multi-year engagement for the Department of Transportation working on all projects in the Office of Technical Services. The selected PM will be working with a PM from the selected system integrator and will be responsible for the following:
• Project oversight on 30+ projects and maintenance initiatives
• Strategic planning for aligning initiatives to Department goals
• Coordinate cross project activities
• Provide guidance to project teams (PMs, BAs, QAs and SMEs)
• Capture and reporting of required project management metrics
• Vendor management
• Preparing status reports on a periodic basis for project team, team leads, group leads, and project manager and appropriate stakeholders
• Managing issues/risks and proactively addressing them
• Resolving conflicts with sensitivity and tact
• Effectively communicating with stakeholder, vendor and customers
• Communicating to team members how their work assignments relate to and help achieve project objectives
• Escalation of appropriate issues to management
Experience • Serving as the leader to project teams with the goal of delivering on scope, budget and timelines.
• Scheduling and leading team meetings such as status, vendor project kick-off, etc., and meeting with the business stakeholders to prioritize work and projects.
• Ability to develop strong client and working relationships with the team.
• Identifying, managing and mitigating issues, risks and project conflicts.
• Vendor management and procurement
• Experience working with government agencies is a plus

Mandatory Requirements/Time:

• 10+ years of project management experience
• 5+ years of Transportation related project management experience
• 5+ years of GIS related project management experience
• 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

ESRI Roads and Highways experience
Microsoft Power BI experience
Data Governance experience
