Requirement Description:

This position will function as a highly skilled SS3 for Ohio Department of Transportation’s Office of Traffic Operations with specific responsibilities that include:

1. Install, maintain, configure, upgrade and/or administer hardware/software independently in workstation support, network administration, server administration, business continuity, information security, telecommunications and network connectivity, or SAN administration (i.e., single technology domain).
2. Evaluate, select, adapt and modify standard procedures; devise new approaches to issues encountered.
3. Utilize vendor supplier and 3rd party utilities for monitoring.
4. Diagnose, analyze and resolve issues for customer(s) in assigned single technology domain.
5. Provide Tier II-III level customer support.
6. Conduct performance tuning for hardware/software.
7. Develop and maintain documentation.
8. Promote system security & awareness by adhering to the Agency’s and/or State’s IT security policy(s) & standards.
9. Develop and maintain ad-hoc utilities or reports to automate processes.
10. Stay current regarding new technologies, standards & techniques.
11. Configure and develop reports in AccelOps.
12. May require work along State Highways and in inclement weather.
Experience:

• Excellent PC skills.
• Able to follow written and spoken instructions
• Ability to accurately analyze, enter and manage data
• Strong communication/leadership skills.
• Strong influence, collaboration and negotiation experience.
• Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
• Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Routing & Switching Certification preferred.
Mandatory Requirements/Time:

4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
4 years’ of relevant experience.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License with clean driving record.
