 Provide the “SCOPE OF WORK” summary:

The SharePoint (SP) Product Specialist (PS5) is a senior/lead SP developer position and is responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, completion, and execution of all SharePoint based Solutions.  This position is a member of the Medicaid ITS, reports to ITS SP Manager, and works with ITS SP Architect and SP Development team.

Responsibilities 

  • Involves in all aspects of the SP solution life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, implementation testing and post-production solution or user support.
  • Produces SP solutions related documentation and provides user training when needed.
  • Mentors and trains junior SP development resources.
  • Maintains and provides enhancements to the existing SP solutions and sites.
  • Works with SP Architect in providing overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the advancement of SharePoint based Solution architecture required to meet business strategies and goals for the associated enterprise system.
  • Works with SP Architect in establishing the best practices and standardization of SP solution design and development processes.
  • Identify major SharePoint interfaces, business capabilities needs, existing solution and/or architecture weaknesses, and opportunities for SP based solutions within the State of Ohio Medicaid enterprise.

Detailed Day-To-Day Job Duties to be performed: Senior SharePoint Developer

-          Design, develop and test ODM SharePoint based Business Solutions and workflow automation applications following ODM SharePoint development processes.

-          Serve as the SharePoint SME, ensure adoption and adherence to solution best-practices.

-          Conduct and/or participate in solution design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.

-          Perform and document solution design and deployment procedures.

-          Create Solution Job-Aid/How-To Guide, mentor/train State staff

-          Work with SP Architect in providing overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the development of an architecture (current and future state) required to meet business strategies and goals for the SharePoint and associated system(s).

-          Work with vendors (State, external) in tuning and optimizing solution performance and improving reliability. 

REQUIRED Skill Sets:

·         At least 6+ years of MS-SharePoint developer experience (MS-SharePoint 2016, MS-SharePoint 2013 Application/Solution development) – worked as a Technical SME for SharePoint, previously implemented SharePoint based Business solutions, branding, Business Process Automation, Content Management, Dashboard/Reporting

·         3+ years of SharePoint workflow solution developer experience using Nintex Workflow and InfoPath form

·         1+ years of developer experience using SharePoint Designer

·         1+ year of O365/SP Online sites design, development, creation and maintenance experience

DESIRED Skill Sets:

  • 1+ year of developer experience in CSS, JavaScript
  • 3+ years of developer experience in Microsoft C#/.NET, ASP.NET / SQL Server environment and Object Oriented Design
  • 1+ year experience with Web Services design and development
  • 1+ year experience with SCRUM/Agile development
