Agency Overview:

Ohio EPA has several regulatory divisions that play different roles in environmental protection. Each division issues permits to regulate industries that pollute in a specific area, like air emissions or wastewater discharges to rivers and streams. The permits include requirements for operating, monitoring and reporting compliance

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is a state agency whose goal is to protect the environment and public health by ensuring compliance with environmental laws. Those laws and related rules outline Ohio EPA's authority and what things we can consider when making decisions about regulated activities
Requirement Description:

Services Overview

The Asbestos program merger with Ohio department of health and new system development are the main driver for the staff augmentation need.

Ohio EPA and the Ohio Department of Health will be merging their two Asbestos programs and systems. A new integrated system must be developed to support functions previously supported by two different software systems Startup of this new merged system will require migration of Ohio Department of Health data and ongoing extracts and uploads of that data into the new Ohio EPA system until transition to the new system is complete.

The requested resource will lead the effort for data mapping between the current Ohio Department of Health system, Ohio EPA Ants system and the New EPA Asbestos system data structures. The resource will also develop a process and strategy for extraction of data for the initial load and ongoing extractions and uploads for the transition period. This will include working with current staff to develop the format, schedule and executable code to accomplish complete migration and synchronization of data (during transition period) between the old and new systems.

Interview:
During the interview process with the EPA staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance.

7. 5 plus years of experience Oracle, MS SQL
Desired Skills/Time:

1. Experience with Ohio Department of Health and/or OHIO EPA Software systems and Data is desirable
