Position Description – Description of Duties
Description of Duties (Primary & Secondary)
1. Analyze requirement and Create Test Plan – 10%
2. Create Manual Test Cases using Microsoft Visual Studio Test Manager – 20%
3. Create Automated Test Cases using Microsoft Visual Studio Test Manager – 15%
4. Test case exaction and regression testing – 40%
5. Defect creation and tracking – 15%

Experience Requirements:
Meets all role descriptions for the job tile of Tester 3 (Test3) as defined by the MSP.

• 4 years college degree or equivalent technical study

Additional Minimum Required and preferred skills and experience:
The successful candidate for this engagement must have the following MINIMUM skills, abilities and experience. Any candidate who does not meet or exceed ALL the minimum qualifications listed below will not be considered for the engagement.
.NET Tester candidate minimum and preferred skills and experience:
· Minimum of 7 years professional experience in developing and/or testing software applications in complex end user environments.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience performing all aspects of software test management (test plan, test case creation, test cases execution, defect tracking, capture testing metrics)
· Minimum of 5 year of experience with manual testing (functional, regression and performance)
· Minimum of 3 years of experience with automated testing (functional, regression and performance)
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing/testing web applications on the Microsoft ASP.Net Framework.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience with Visual Studio 2008/2010 for Software Testers (Test manager) and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
. The successful candidate for this engagement may have the following PREFERRED skills, abilities and experience. Candidates with a larger number of preferred skills listed below will generally score higher during the evaluation process. (Please list total number of months and years, and organizations served, along with contact information on the vendor response document.):
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in writing SQL queries and relational database (Oracle is preferred)
· Knowledge and professional experience of XML, nUnit, Web Service, and ASP.NET 4.0 is preferred.
· Experience in leading, developing and growing QA team is preferred
. 1 year experience using SCRUM Agile development methodologies (or SCRUM Master certification as equivalent).
. Goals-oriented proactive team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize technical tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment.
. Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field. Partial credit will be awarded for BS degree or higher in any field.

. Excellent verbal communication skills
A description of the team the candidate will be working in.
This individual will primarily be working on the Enterprise Application Services (EAS) system which is an IT framework that was developed by ODE ITO staff to rollout the Scholarship Programs administered by the Office of School Choice.  The framework supports some base functionalities such as workflow management, role/security, document management etc.  Four major modules were built initially – provider application, student application, payment and administration.  Each module supports various business processes that can be configured (or customized) to cater to the programs specific needs.  Later on three more modules were added to the system – Compliance, Nonpublic and Decision Framework.  Overall close to forty different programs that are administered by more than twenty different offices have been implemented on the EAS framework.    The system was recently enhanced to include new functionalities such as dashboards, reporting, task management and tool tips.
