Role:  ODOT Service Desk

DOT Staff Augmentation

The candidates will be supporting The Ohio Department of Transportations's Service Desk.

Requirement Description:

Work with business units as well as internal stakeholders to gather requirements, using techniques like interviews and requirement gathering sessions.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and communicate business requirements as well translate them into more detailed functional requirements documents such as process flows, screen mock-ups, gap analysis (also known as Business Requirements Documents)
• Engage the ODOT Service Desks to validate the business processes and define solutions requirement.
• Engage the ODOT Service Desk to define and document Customer Service processes, metrics and reporting requirements
• Create documents and other artifacts to promote sustainable knowledge management within the organization.
• Work closely with the Administrator of ODOT Client Services and the Service Desk Manager.
• Create and participate in management training sessions utilizing both written and audio/visual material.

Experience:

• Experience conducting Facilitated Workshops for requirements analysis.
• Experience creating workflows using formal notation such as the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
• Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies.
• Experience developing Business Requirements - project initiation document, what the needed achievements will be, and the quality measures.
• Experience developing Functional requirements - describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business requirements.
• Experience developing User (stakeholder) requirements - are a very important part of the deliverables, the needs of the stakeholders will have to be correctly interpreted. This deliverable can also reflect how the product will be designed, developed, and define how test cases must be formulated.
• Experience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners and runtime parameters.
• Experience as a technical writer.
• Experience in defining and creating both written and audio/visual training sessions. Experience conducting training sessions.
• Experience with Human Capital Management processes, such as employee hiring and separations a strong plus.
• Strong organization and writing skills.
• Experience developing graphic representations of complex business processes.
• Technical skills focusing on Systems Analysis roles.
• Experience in a leadership role as a Business Analyst.

Mandatory Requirements/Time:

• 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
• 4 years of relevant experience.
• Solid business analysis skillsets and solid business requirements for complex business systems.
• Excellent communication skills, have excellent oral and written skills including strong presentation skills.
• 2 years - technical writing skills required for writing and maintaining Service Desk Knowledge Base articles.
• Prior business analyst experience with Human Resource processes, such as employee onboarding and separations.
• Training tools such as Camtasia (video), Adobe, Microsoft Office tools – experience required.
• Ability to build solid business relationships in an undefined and emerging environment.

Desired Skills/Time:

Training skill preferable.  Expeience with Human Resource training tools a plus.

Exposure to ServiceNow ticketing system a plus.
