We prefer local candidates but will except candidates that can be onsite 8:00 am. Monday-Friday. They should also know that they will be expected to be mobile because the PM will need to meet with multiple agencies in multiple locations all within the greater Columbus area with the vast majority being downtown. The State of Ohio does not reimburse travel/gas/parking.

1. Enterprise Grants Management Enablement Project Manager’

Relevant Experience

Mandatory:
10+ years of IT project management experience

Preferred:
-PMP certification
-5+ years of public sector experience
-5+ years of PeopleSoft project management

Preferred Education:
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.

Role Description:
The Project Manager (PM) will be working on behalf of the State on a complex, multi-year engagement. The PM will report to the OAKS organization and will be responsible for the management of vendor activities associated with the State’s pilot of an Enterprise Grants Management (EGM) system.

The EGM system will have two core components:
A central web portal which allows prospective recipients of State grants to search for and apply for grant opportunities. The portal will provide management for the entire award process and provide dashboard capabilities.
The web portal will be fully integrated to PeopleSoft Financials, using web services, to provide financials management for grants that the State administers when either receiving grants or providing grants to sub-recipients. The Project Costing and Grants modules will be implemented into the existing Financials system during this project.

The project includes requirements confirmation through system deployment.

The selected PM will be working with a PM from the selected system integrator and will be responsible for the following:

-Management of the state-side activities and actions related to the program and helping see the program through full implementation.
-Delivery of all work tasks identified in the project plan.
-Adjustments to the project plan when necessary.
-Management and tracking of the project progress against the project plan. Take corrective actions if a project begins to slip its schedule.
-Strict management of project scope. All changes to project scope must follow defined processes.
-Capture and reporting of required project management metrics.
-Preparing status reports on a periodic basis for project team, team leads, group leads, and project manager and appropriate stakeholders.
-Planning, organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple work efforts across application teams.
-Notifying appropriate team leads of timelines, milestones, phases, work requests target dates, and approved executable work package.
-Anticipating issues / risks and proactively addressing them.
-Resolving conflicts with sensitivity and tact.
-Effectively communicating with stakeholder, vendor and customers.
-Communicating to team members how their work assignments relate to and help achieve project objectives.
