Technical Specialist 4 / TS4
• 6+ years of VMware performing firmware updates, software updates to servers, storage arrays, virtual connects, etc. for HP and Dell servers
• 6+ years troubleshooting server failures, hardware or software failures and coordinate repairs
• 2+ years experience with standardizing server configurations (i.e. CPU, RAM, RAID)
• 2+ years experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager
• 2+ years experience with vRealize and vRealize Orchestrator deployments
• 3+ years experience utilizing tools such as esxtop, vSCSIstats, VMWare IO analyzer for disk IO performance calculations
• 3+ years experience with Powershell and other scripting languages
• 1+ years of SAN technologies (FC, FCOE, iSCSI, NFS, Determining LUN sizes/layout based on IOPS requirements).
• 3+ years implementing new systems, policies, standards and practices.
• 2+ years Windows 2003/2008/2008R2 Server and or RHEL support and troubleshooting or administrative and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years experience with administering (installing, supporting, maintaining, designing) enterprise infrastructure underpinning server virtualization, preferably in VMware 5.x and 6.x
Cisco UCS Experience:
• 4+ years experience with Cisco UCS Enterprise environments (experience administering Cisco UCS, including experience installing / provisioning all UCS domain components , including fabric interconnects, chassis, blades, service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and firmware) also familiar with other UCS tools (UCS Central/Performance Manager).
• 4+ years experience with UCS PowerShell scripting
• 4+ years experience with Cisco UCS servers hosting ESXi
• 4+ years experience configuring and deploying new UCS Domains
• 4+ years experience firmware, patching and backups of UCS Domains
• 2+ years troubleshooting (UCS Visio/MOP’s)
VDI Experience:
• 4+ years experience designing and implementing virtualization infrastructure to support VDI, and application delivery.
• 4+ years experience deploying and implementing view security servers working in conjunction with F5 load balancers
• 4+ years experience managing large / distributed environments.
• 4+ years experience deploying monitoring software for virtual desktops (i.e. VCOPs/vROPS for Horizon 7)
• 4+ years experience performing management and maintenance of VMWare server software (vCenter, Horizon View, etc).
• 4+ years experience in virtualization specifically with VMware VSphere and ESXi Virtual Infrastructure (5.5x, 6.x)
• 1+ years experience with virtual environments for proactive assessment of performance
• 1+ years experience with Windows Desktop operating systems to include design considerations for desktop, laptop and Thin-client/VDI
• 4+ years experience managing VMware Horizon environment built on hyper-converged platform
• 4+ years experience with SAN storage, provisioning storage groups and LUNs
