Requirement Description:
The candidate will be supporting The Ohio Department of Transportation’s Office of Infrastructure Management. The ideal candidate will provide expertise and hands-on experience in Docker technologies, including architecting, designing, and implementation within ODOT’s infrastructure following industry best practices. The candidate will also participate in various research projects with an anticipated engagement of 1-2 years.
This position will function as a highly skilled TS4 with specific responsibilities that include:
Expertise in architecting, design and implementation of Docker within ODOT’s infrastructure using best practices
Will function as a Docker technical SME
Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.
Participation in requirements gathering sessions.
Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time, work under pressure of tight deadlines, and meet assigned deadlines.
Coordinate and conduct project architecture, infrastructure review meetings
Proven ability to mentor and supervise other team members.
Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks.
Communicate accurate and useful status reports on a timely basis.
Experience
1. Proven experience with architecting, building and implementing secure Docker environments using best practices
2. Proven experience with Docker across large and complex implementations and systems
3. Possess excellent communication skills; both oral and written skills including
strong meeting and work session skills.
4. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting issues.
6. Experienced in agile development methodologies.
7. Experienced in making best practice recommendations based on industry standards.
Mandatory Requirements/Time
4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
4+ years’ hands-on experience with Docker architecture including Docker
