senior Oracle DBA / PL SQL developer position with the following responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
· Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
· Developing and debugging PL/SQL stored procedures
· Design and Implement Database procedures and complex queries to retrieve data for different needs of the organization
· Creating and managing primary database storage structures (tablespaces) and primary objects (tables, views, indexes)
· Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers and controlling and monitoring user access to the database
· Partitioning / Indexing database tables for optimal performance
· Provide database management operations to ensure the availability, security, quality, performance and accessibility to applications
· Interpret AWR reports to optimize the performance of the databases
· Proactively monitor databases for performance issues using 11g Database/Grid Control
· Manage data guard environment using data guard broker and debug issues with replication
Required Qualifications:
· PL/SQL programming and performance tuning : 5 years of experience
· Data transformation ETL procedures writing: 5 years of experience
· Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation and problem solving skills
· Must be able to learn quickly, make individual contributions
· Ability to act independently, take initiative and drive the work
· Experience in managing and administering Oracle databases on Exadata
· Experience in Oracle 11g RAC administration, design and development
· Good understanding of Oracle database concepts related technology
· Experience in backup/recover/refresh database environments using RMAN
· Experience in implementing and managing Oracle Data Guard
· Unix/Linux Shell Scripting experience
