Job Description:
This resource will be on the Web Systems Development team. He/She will be working with a variety of technologies and service offerings on our web and application servers. He/She will be working with a collaborative team of analysts and web developers to support all service offerings on BWC’s external and internal web sites, as well as creating new service offerings and enhancing existing service offering. The candidate must have proven expertise in the development and modification of web application systems, and in .NET web services. He/She will work with various leads and team members depending on the size of the project that could include Project Managers, Systems Analysts, Development Leads, and the QA test team. The candidate may be tasked to be the lead on certain projects and coordinate (with the help of the Web Systems Development team manager) the development activities of the project team. He/She will work with both technical and business people to verify requirements and confirm feasibility. The candidate will be asked to utilize a number of database environments from SQL Server to Oracle to DB2. He/She should be a good problem solver, as they will be required to work on production tickets on a rotating basis, as well as keeping up with their project workload.

Required Experience:
-ASP, ASP.Net, C# – 8 to 9 yrs experience;
-MS.Net frameworks 2.0, 3.5, 4.0 – 8 to 9 yrs experience;
-MS.Net Web Services (SOAP/WSDL protocols, ASMX) 8 to 9 yrs experience;
-RDBMS (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) – 8 to 9 yrs experience;
-Javascript – minimum of 7 yrs experience;
-LINQ – minimum of 2 yrs experience;
-AJAX – minimum of 4 yrs experience;
-JQuery – 3 to 4 yrs experience;
-Team Foundation Server – minimum of 3 yrs experience

Additional Skill/Knowledge/Experience advantageous to this placement: knowledge of insurance systems; experience developing services or applications built with service oriented architecture (SOA); skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, VISIO, Clarity); ability to adapt quickly to changes, enhancements, & new technologies.
