The primary objective of the HR project are as follows

The PD module is needed to enhance a labor intensive and manual process. This is a process improvement request and will save the agency thousands of dollars on wasted productivity and make the process more user friendly for the end users.

What outcomes are expected from the project?

  1. A new process that managers can use to work with their HR Designee to create/modify PDs.
  2. Templates connected to job codes that will 'pre-populate' a PD with the class specification details to assist the manager and/or HR with accurately displaying the job duties.
  3. A process for the HR designees to easily and quickly view PDs that require a level of review and approval due to position/duty changes.
  4. The ability for managers to log in similar to how they do for creating PARs and see the status of a pending or inprogress PD at any point in the process (transparency). Additional outcomes: Remove extra steps in the current select memo process that are not used - this will help reduce confusion in the processing of select memos within HR.
