Position is on-site only, no telecommuting. Work Location: 30 W. Spring St., Columbus Ohio

Position Summary
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance / support of infrastructure architecture design, recommend hardware, software, specification, design of service components, security and layout. Review new systems, recommend improvements, evaluate system and security requirement. Act as an advisor for Enterprise architect team on On-Prem and cloud computing strategy.

Required Experience
• 10 + years of Information Technology Architecture design and implementation experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware, hosting service and network areas.
• 5+ Information Technology Architecture advisory role.
• Understands Information technology architecture principles, framework and design patterns.
• Certification such as CCNA, MCSE, TOGAF, SOA is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture and deployment is a plus.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and advice of the latest technology.
• Ability to write architectural design documents or review design documents provided by others.
• Knowledge and understanding of industry trends, new technologies and ability to apply to architectural needs.
• Knowledge of core DevSecOps principles.
• Knowledge to standardize and automate with tools for application deployments in to legacy environments, cloud and containers.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC process, release management.
• Knowledge of Release and Configuration management.
• Must have a knowledge of the Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory, .NET framework and its concepts,
• Knowledge and experience working on multiple operating systems, understands network concepts.
• Knowledge of Linux and Unix.
• Knowledge of VMware or other virtual software.
• Knowledge and understanding of TCP, IP and other network protocols. Familiarity with DNS, DHCP and other network services.
• Knowledge of systems monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Strong ability to present, communicate technical information orally and in writing.

Responsibilities:
• Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling IT / Business strategy.
• Evaluate technology, market trends and industry plus identify prospective impact on business.
• Participate in developing and managing ongoing Infrastructure architecture governance structure based on agency IT strategies.
• Perform and work under the direction of Enterprise Architecture leads when developing IT infrastructure solutions.
• Technically Lead and direct governing principles to guide decision making, pertinent to infrastructure architecture.
• Develop implementation plan for infrastructure architecture on basis of IT strategies and business requirements.
• Enforce infrastructure architecture execution as well as ongoing refinement tasks.
• Develops enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.
• Design and develop infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions.
• Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions.
• Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems.
• Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures, architecture diagrams and configurations.
