Requirement Description:
The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) is looking for an experienced, skilled, and motivated System Administrator to join the team. As System Administrator contractor, she or he is responsible for the overall daily operation and improvement of ODA’s endpoint, infrastructure and network. She or he will maintain and troubleshoot servers, network and endpoint devices, document existing server and network configuration, update diagram, and troubleshooting.
This position will function as a highly skilled System Administrator that include:
• Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
• Manage user access and password
• Perform windows updates, software patches, and firmware upgrades
• Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
• Respond to and resolve help desk requests, including server, network, and endpoint devices
• Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
• Install and test computer-related equipment
• Responsible for the endpoint device deployment
• Provide system and network support through timely identification and escalation of issues.
• Participates and assists with technical projects in both management and technical delivery capacities.
• Assist the on-going mobility projects in process development and documentation to ensure a smooth and consistent end user experience
• Write and edit automation scripts to increase systems and task efficiency
• Write and maintain technical documentation
Experience:
• Excellent knowledge of server administration
• Excellent knowledge of network administration and security concepts and technology
• Strong knowledge of deployment and management systems
• Ability to drive results with a sense of urgency relative to the end user
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
• Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
Mandatory Requirements/Time:
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
• 7+ years of system/server administration experience
• 7+ years of network infrastructure administrator experience
• 7+ years of endpoint administration experience
• Professional Certification in server, and/or network, and/or endpoint or is desired
