Possible but not guaranteed renewal for Fiscal Year 2020, all renewals require Administratrive and Budgetary approvals.

The contractor selected should possess Enterprise Senior Data Center experience involving systems/network administration in large server farms, the knowledge to set up of new physical/virtual environments, having the ability to perform hardware/software upgrades, knowledge to implement security guidelines, and ability to provide performance tuning to systems. The person wilt work with the Build/Systems team to provide this functionality and infrastructure system support.
Technical Certifications:
• VMware Certified Professional 6. Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV)
• VMware Certified Professional 6- Desktop (VCP5-DT)
• Microsoft Certified Professional Hardware experience
Storage arrays Other experience:
• Experience in managing and leading IT projects. General Knowledge of networking and security. This includes VLANs, switching, and firewalls.

VMware Experience:
• Minimum 5 years working experience with multi-tiered applications running on VMware vSphere
• Senior Architectural Design and implementation experience. Knowledge and ability to manage virtual desktops. Senior Admin experience and expertise in managing multiple Datacenters, Clusters, Hosts. Expertise in VMware Windows, Unix, Solaris, and Unix operating systems. Managing ESXi 4.x, 5.x, 6.x with vCenter and Update Manager, Remote CU, PowerClt
• Vmware networking with Virtual Distributed switches (including Nexus 1000v)
• VMware storage configurations (NFS, fiber channel, iSCSCi)
• DR solutions and business continuity solutions. Vmware Security (following Vmware hardening guides)
• Monitoring and Performance troubleshooting. Skilled in documenting systems and procedures.
• Ability to provide a direction for Infrastructure upgrades and future enhancements

These best practices include:
• Knowledge of security awareness and best practices utilizing security baselines. Major version administration and upgrades in an environment of 100+ VMs
• NIC teaming and failover
• Ability to configure HA and DRS
• VMware update manager
• Configuration and management of VMware networking including the VMware

• Optional. Minimum 2.3 years’ experience installation, design, configuration. Knowledge on how to configure and manage provisioning groups and blueprints, reclaim resources, and operate within Self-service portal

Microsoft Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing and administering Windows Server environments (2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2016).

• Provide excellent customer service and possess great communication skills. Provide documentation to BWC system team. Deliver Knowledge Transfer sessions to BWC team. Research and recommend where possible automated approaches for implementing specific given tasks. Have the ability to script or program in Power shell, or similar languages. Monitoring Infrastructure, VMware that requires in-depth knowledge of tools including vCenter Server, vCenter Operations, vFoglight, Microsoft SCOM
• linux and Windows OS that requires in-depth knowledge of MS perfmon. eventlogs and usage for log searching. Senior hardware experience that involves the knowledge and understanding of using Insight Manager to monitor health of physical devices and servers. Knowledge of system installation and issues associated with installation- VMware, \Windows, and Linux" Keep all system up to date by assisting server team with patching, updating hardware, vmware hosts, windows/linux guests utilizing VMware Update Manager, MS SCCM, and Linux related tools. Investigate and troubleshoot system alarms and alerts- that requires in-depth knowledge of vmware ESXi, MS Server 20081, 2012, Unix Redhat Operating Systems and troubleshooting tools and techniques including vCenter, ESXtop, and PowerCli
• Providing advanced tier 3 troubleshooting support in which the person should possess technical knowledge of both the host operating system and guests (both Windows and Linux). also, the person should have very good understanding of networking concepts and technologies. Must be able to analyze and redirect problem to correct individual’s teams". Attending meetings to 'work with customers to collect and review requirements and recommend acceptable solutions, including hardware specifications, network connectivity. Storage types and connectivity, resource usage, virtualization options (HA, DRS, FT, etc.)
• Work with customers and other groups to propose business continuance options for various systems. Work with team to plan upgrades and changes for infrastructure and servers. Provide operations level system admins with instruction and best practices concerning both the VMware infrastructure and the guest OS's (Windows and Linux)
• Adhere to BWC security guidelines and best practices with regards to security at the host, Guest and Physical Levels and must adhere to these guidelines. Have strong technical skills, covering data center, network, virtualization, storage operations, security, and application relative to data migrations. Design and implementation of customized technical Operations and Engineering solutions for customers in the Data Centers. Have the ability to develop complete virtualization solutions and recommendations. Provide virtualization focused demonstrations in lab environment, evaluations and proof of concept support when applicable. Provide senior troubleshooting expertise for Build I&O operations for server performance and other issues.
• Help develop complete operations and engineering solutions taking into account infrastructure, data protection, high availability, resource management, automation, disaster recovery, and application requirements
• Hands-on experience in data center virtualization and storage environments
