Job Classification:   Technical Architecture Specialist 3
Role: One (1) TAS3 with expertise in IT. The TAS3 is request from November 5, 2018 to June 30, 2019 (1500hrs)

Requirement Description:

TAS3 to help IT Automate and implement new technology to assist with keeping the desktop environment current and running optimally.

This position will function as a highly skilled Service Support Specialist with specific responsibilities that include:

1. Advanced knowledge of automation processes and concepts.
2. Understanding of Desktop Support and Services.
3. Understanding of Active Directory, user authentication and authorization and identify and access management.
4. Uses creativity and innovation to automate and streamline processes and procedures.
5. Understands enterprise wide support issues, likes to work with business units and can ensure that the customer needs are fully understood.
6. Ability to read system logs and create a reasonable path to resolution.
7. Ability to troubleshoot in a high level systematic way. Ability to identify symptoms and research root cause. Understands process to test, and put changes in production.
8. Understanding of networking principles, including network troubleshooting for connectivity issues.
9. Ability and experience to work with SCCM version 2012 and above. Ability to show others how to use tools like SCCM.
10. Ability to script with PowerShell 3.0 or above. Scripting abilities should include validation, editing, input and output, including automation to production systems, specifically Active Directory.
11. Ability to learn new tools (Varonis) to clean up and audit unstructured data (user data) and Active Directory and NTFS permissions.

Interview:

During the interview process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance.

Required Skills:

This position is similar to a Desktop Engineer

1. 7 Years SCCM or SMS like experience
• SCCM 2012 Experience Required (SCCM 2007 solely is not sufficient)
• Advanced understanding of Content Distribution and Management, Maintenance Windows, Queries, Application Deployment, Packaging Deployment, Operating Systems Deployment, LTI and ZTI Operating System Deployment, Microsoft Software Updates, and 3rd-Party Integrations.
• Full knowledge of the Operating System Deployment process from design to deployment and the support tools and technology involved (SCCM, MDT, WDS, PXE, Bootable Media, Task Sequences, MSI and MST files, etc.)
• STRONG SCCM, OS, AD and Application troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with top level support (no escalation beyond).
• STRONG experience in the following tools: MDT, APP-V, InstallShield, Software Repackagers, MSI Tables.
• Ability to fully script repeatable tasks, Operating System Deployment, Application Installs and configuration changes.
• Experience in Windows XP/7/8/10 from an Administrator perspective (not desktop support.)

2. 5 Years PowerShell scripting experience in a production environment
• STRONG shell experience in windows (command shell, vbscript, PowerShell.)
• Understanding of WMI/CIM.
• Experience with Active Directory User and Computer accounts, Security Groups, and group policy objects.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently.
• Experience working in a highly distributed environment.

ITIL Knowledge and ITSM Tools.
Knowledge of third party automated patching techniques.
