Job Description:
Candidate will act in a data architect role as part of a team with 2 other data architects and be responsible for designing the database for business (OLTP) applications. The primary focus will be to gather requirements, complete analysis and create a data model to support the application functionality using BWC’s modeling tools. The data architect then transforms the data model into a physical database schema, generates data definition language (DDL) & works with the application teams to schedule the DDL for the DBA team to deploy to non-production and production environments. This person should be capable of performing as a Data Architect 1.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of contiguous experience using the AllFusion Erwin data modeling tool version 9.64.01 or higher. Experience including the Model Manager Repository is preferred.
• Experience with AllFusion Gen modeling tool is a plus, but not mandatory.
• 3 to 5 years of experience gathering data requirements and translating them into a database design.
• 3 to 5 years of experience following database design methodologies (e.g. E.F. Codd)
• Ability to quickly understand the business requirements, complete analysis of requirements and current database designs to determine the appropriate database design.
• Following company standards, procedures and processes.
Extension beyond June 2019 will require Administrative and Budgetary approvals.
