Business Analyst /Tester Position Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Good knowledge of relational database, data vault and dimensional model design
- Document business requirement and specification including Functional requirements, Flowcharts, Process Description, Use Cases, User Stories and Data Specification
- Build and ensure a professional testing culture including, but not limited to, the implementation of best practices and standardized documentation across all projects integrating with EDW
- Design Test scenarios, SQL scripts (prefer Oracle) and data and executes the scripts
- Validates test results and records and researches defects
- Ensure the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled and completed in each iteration
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members in the areas of technical skills and competencies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years Data Warehouse / ETL testing experience in Waterfall and Agile Methodology in various domains (prefer Healthcare)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with developers, analysts, and business staff throughout the organization;
- Ability to express complex technical information in a user-friendly language and style; present information effectively in one-on-one, and small group settings, including executive management.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing to document data requirements and translate into technical solutions.
- Understands the importance of maintaining the physical and technical security and privacy of protected health information (PHI).
- Oracle DBMS experience.
