Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst position is for a professional with a strong background in application testing using automation. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate on cross functional teams to ensure delivery of a high-quality solution. The candidate will work with the team to understand Avatar and define overall test strategies and test plans for the agency. The candidate will also execute test cases manually and via automation tools. The candidate will also interact with others in the organization to proactively determine upstream and downstream impacts of software releases prior and after production implementation.

Responsibilities:
1. Provides facilitation and writes complicated test plans.
2. Identifies and uses adequate testing thoroughness.
3. Actively engaged in promoting, supporting, improving, and documents existing testing processes, technology, and procedures.
4. Works with hospital services, supervisors, managers, or others to automate tasks which have proven to be standard and repetitive.
5. Analyzes and tests performance/operational impact of new technologies, processes, and changes to existing systems.
6. Obtains results that are within established scope, timeline, and quality levels.
7. Provides communications, test plans, and audits as it relates to implementation.
8. Communicates testing methodologies using language and technical details appropriate for audience.
9. Works with project manager or other staff to coordinate and schedule the various tasks for successfully analyzing, designing, developing, testing and implementing projects per the release schedule.
10. Updates standard reports/metrics that measure output and quality of testing deliverables.

Interview:

During the interview process with the DMH staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance.

3. Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
4. Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
5. Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
6. Have strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements.
7. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language.
Mandatory Requirements/Time:

1. 7+ years Minimum experience in a quality assurance related position that had similar primary duties in addition to education requirements.
2. 7+ years of experience in administration and operation of at least one Test Management technology/system: (HP QC, MTM, Microsoft TFS, JIRA, Rational, Bugzilla, etc.)
3. 5+ years of experience with one database applicable programming environment: (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
4. Project management experience preferred.
5. Excellent communicator.
6. Ability to work in a team and experience in leading team meetings
7. Experience with Avatar in Health Care settings (understands basic workflows)
8. Organized and a quick learner.

4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
