Requirement Description:

The selected Consultant(s) will work closely with designated DPS IT staff and members of the Distributed Systems Support (server and storage infrastructure) team to, as directed, migrate systems currently running in the Department of Public Safety (DPS) infrastructure to the State of Ohio Private Cloud and support the ongoing operation of DPS systems. The consultant should have overall experience in n-tier application environment hosting architecture design and deeper experience in their specialties.

The SA5 will work under the direction of Information Technology Supervisors, Project Managers, and/or team lead Infrastructure Specialists. They will execute assignments and report status and issues as appropriate.

1. Document current state of infrastructure assignments.
2. Monitor project target dates and milestones to ensure work is on schedule. Take corrective actions if an assignment begins to slip its schedule.
3. Prepare status reports on a periodic basis for program team, team leads, group leads, and program manager and appropriate stakeholders.
4. Communicate and work with technical staff and others as necessary.
5. Analyze and distribute reports on program metrics associated with work items related to improving processing performance measures.
6. Perform knowledge transfer to DPS staff by documenting, mentoring, and/or teaching a small class on a specific topic.

Interview:
During the interview process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance. Resource will have a background check conducted by ODPS.
