Job Summary:
This position is with the State of Ohio as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Fortinet’s FortiSIEM product
that is designed as an Enterprise Service Model for application monitoring and performance automation
using network intelligence, discovery analysis and similar technical methodologies.
CSC Managed Services is seeking a Fortinet high level engineer with strong FortiSIEM and Network
background. The consultant will be responsible for auditing the Current Service Model which includes
assessing the platform, identifying automation initiatives and recommending plans of action to bolster
and expand application monitoring services to meet agency needs.
Current Service Model:
• Applications Monitoring - Perform applications and device monitoring to measure real-time
application, service and network performance.
• ServiceNow Integration – Events are sent to ITOM’s Event Management (via API) triggering alerts
and incidents records.
• Custom Dashboards - Displays the current health of the applications, services and network devices
which are tailored to specific use cases.
Specific Knowledge, Skills:
• 5+ years of experience using FortiSIEM as a monitoring tool for networks, application and service
monitoring including discovery and/or service mapping (experience in an Enterprise environment is
preferred).
• 5+ years of experience using network/firewall protocol and services.
• 5+ years of experience and sound understanding of network infrastructure and LAN topology which
includes routers, hubs, switches, WAN/Frame Relay/MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP,
etc.
• 5+ years of experience on FortiSIEM’s system and tool integration initiatives/projects
• 5+ years of experience (high level) technical expertise on automation initiatives/projects
