General Summary:
Must possess a deep understanding of the capabilities of the SharePoint platform including Architectural and Application Design, management and troubleshooting, with a focus on working with various DAS / OIT teams on the planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations. Provide expert-level architectural and technical support using Microsoft best practices, provide mentorship and guidance to personnel on the support, operations and development teams. Coordinate maintenance for infrastructure and middleware (SQL, IIS, SharePoint, 3rd Party tools, Office 365, etc.) of all environments and ensure the environments meet Service Level Agreements. Champion infrastructure governance and guidelines for all SharePoint environments and create / maintain processes related to those initiatives. Coordinate, review / approve deployments of fixes, service packs and solutions into SharePoint Hybrid 2016 farm.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

.  Review, counsel and coordinate Farm-related aspects of the SharePoint environment, including design, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security
.  Define the Disaster Recovery strategy which aligns into DAS / OIT DR strategy
.  Planning and review of Service Packs and Cumulative Updates of SharePoint Foundation and SharePoint Server
.  Review and approve documentation for SharePoint infrastructures, deployments, and service specifications
.  Collaborate with Infrastructure and DBA groups on backup / recovery operations and disaster recovery testing related to SharePoint implementation.
.  Responsible for reviewing Service applications, Web applications, Alternate Access Mapping (AAM) and managing farm features and solutions.
.  Define and ensure enforcement of the Security Rules at all levels
.  Provide Performance Analysis, troubleshooting and remediation as needed
.  Deploy Global Assembly Cache (GAC) and other solutions using PowerShell scripts

Architecture Responsibilities Include:

• Lead evaluation of vendor products and collaborate with vendors to ensure successful integration capabilities into SharePoint.
• Participate in Architectural Peer Review activities with other Groups
• Assist in defining Solution Delivery Strategies, Architectural Standards, hardware / software and infrastructure needs and requirements for custom SharePoint and Provider-Hosted Applications.
• Act as thought leader for Environment Stability, Security, Integration, Disaster Recovery, Governance Plans, Scalability and Performance Strategies
• Define and review the Service Application Architecture to communicate and plan remediation for SPoF's (Single Points of Failure)

Support Responsibilities Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is required
• Minimum 4 years’ experience supporting the infrastructure, farm administration, design and deployment of enterprise-wide SharePoint 2013 / 2016 implementations; minimum 1.5 years' direct experience in a mid-to-large size SharePoint 2013 / 2016 environment required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with delivering and deploying custom SharePoint Solutions

Security Experience:
• Working knowledge of Kerberos
• Plan and implement Authentication Provider configuration - Troubleshooting OS, networking, and application-based issues
• Understanding of multiple access and authentication models such as NTLM, Kerberos, Claims-based, ADFS, SSL, etc.
• Experience with Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, claims, web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth and related authentication technologies
• Transport Layer Security / SSL Principles and Management
• Role Based Security Controls and Implementation Strategies
Deployment, Development Experience:
• Plus / Preferred: 1-2 years of SharePoint application development in .NET using C# and ASP.Net for web-based applications,
• Understanding of SharePoint 2013 App Model development principles
• Understanding of Agile Development Methodology
Soft Skills:
• Capable of working independently or in a team environment in support of SharePoint Application and Architectural initiatives
• Strong analytical problem-solving ability
• Good presentation skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
