Title: Security Tool Engineer Contractor

Estimated Length of Assignment: 3 Months *Assignment may end at any time.

Overview:

The Security Tool Engineer Contractor is a hands-on role that will provide security engineering expertise and support. Responsibilities include developing and implementing technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities, identifying and defining security requirements, and preparing standard operating procedures and other related documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Configure the security tools to meet regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Identify and define system security requirements.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Perform other security related activities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of proven work experience as an IT Security Tool Engineer.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in building and maintaining security systems.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of encryption, key management, endpoint security, anti-virus software, and content filtering, etc.
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field.

The Screening Process:

At least one onsite technical screening with FCDC Director of Security Engineering. This will include a technical assessment.
