Requirement Description:
This multi-disciplinary, multi-functional role provides a broad breadth and depth of support to multiple State agencies and technical disciplines.

As an Architect, this consultant evaluates and assesses the States strategic, enterprise-architectural requirements and plans, leads, manages, designs and implements technology-based solutions for hardware, software, storage, network and network connectivity for OIT State-wide.

As a Sr. Mainframe Systems Programmer/Administrator, this consultant upgrades, installs, maintains and supports existing mainframe operating systems, mainframe hardware, data communications, storage and RACF security design/support.

As a SAN/Storage Architect, this consultant reviews and assesses the State’s requirements for storage, evaluates and recommends solutions, then plans, tests and implements those solutions. This role requires significant skill and ability to research and develop optimal approaches to solve complex technical issues relating to storage arrays, switches, software virtualization and multi-site Enterprise-SAN environments.

Required Skills:
. Hands-on, proven experience in performing both hardware and software installs/upgrades to storage arrays/virtualization appliances and CISCO SAN switches.
. Proven experience with large scale implementations of IBM’s SVC for storage virtualization.
. Experience with supporting an IBM SVC in a multi-site Enhanced Stretch Cluster.
. Ability to plan, design, test and implement Disaster Recovery sites.
. Install, test, maintain, and implement third party system software for ZOS 2.2 environment
. Experience creating, configuring, tuning, and maintaining a multi LPAR full Parrallal Sysplex environment.
. Architect and maintain a multi-lpar RACF security environment, ranging from design to day to day administration.
. Experience upgrading and implementing ZOS 2.2, including the ability to plan, coordinate, manage staff activities and to resolve logistical, staffing and technical problem, when needed and as needed.
. Provide daily production/test support in multiple complex environments.
. Experience installing and upgrading Ficon directors in a mainframe environment, including switch configuration and HCD IODF creation.
. Experience configuring TCPIP on a ZOS mainframe with Dynamic Vipa support.
. Performance tuning and planning of complex mainframe, network and storage environments.
. Provide CICS support and training for new and existing State employees
. Experience working with CICS Web services and socket API interfaces.
. Troubleshoot application interface-related issues
. Hands-on, proven experience in upgrading DB2 and CICS and other mainframe-related software, hardware, etc.
. Analyzing, tracing, and repair of fiber optic signal issues.
. Provide architectural and operational support for storages arrays, switches, software, hardware, virtualization and enterprise SAN environment.
. Ability to be on-call and travel, when needed and as-needed, to perform planned and unplanned needs for support at multiple locations, when needed and as needed.

Preferred Education:
. 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
