ODOT is looking for an SS1 (System Specialist 1) for a 1560-hour assignment. The SS1 is requested from October 10, 2016 to June 30, 2017 (1560 hours) Extensions beyond the initial 1560 hours is NOT likely.

Description of Duties:
50% of Total Work Effort: Review planned orders, create requisitions for purchased items, and manage approval process
50% of Total Work Effort: Accurately analyze, enter and manage data
Requirement Description:
This position will function as a highly skilled SS1 with specific responsibilities that include:
1. Interface with all lines of business to plan and prioritize purchasing activities.
2. Review planned orders, create requisitions for purchased items, and manage approval process.
3. Obtain the lowest costs on necessary goods.
4. Maintain positive relationships with ODOT vendors and lines of business.
5. Maintain current and relevant knowledge regarding every aspect of cost and departmental budgets.
6. Analyze data that may affect purchases.
7. Establishing and implementing QA processes used to ensure data is accurately entered.
Experience:
• Excellent PC skills.
• Ability to accurately analyze, enter and manage data.
• Ability to accurately enter information and verify information provided.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, procedures, and techniques.
