The Sharepoint Architect / Subject Matter Expert(SME) is responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, completion, and execution of all Sharepoint based Solutions, Solution Migration, and Solution Optimization. This position is a member of the Medicaid ITS and works with the Medicaid ITS Architecture and development team.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the advancement of Sharepoint based Solution architecture required to meet business strategies and goals for the associated enterprise system.
• Involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design and implementation.
• Includes the establishment of the overall Sharepoint architectural viewpoints, best practices, governance and the establishment and oversight of organization processes, standards and policies for Sharepoint development.
• Identify major Sharepoint interfaces, business capabilities needs, and existing architecture weaknesses and opportunities for Sharepoint based systems within the State of Ohio Medicaid enterprise.

Detailed Day-To-Day Job Duties to be performed:
• Act as the lead Architect in working with ODM staff and its contractors to carry out the Solution Architecture, and Platform (on-prem, cloud and/or hybrid) optimization function and drive Sharepoint User adoption.
• Work with ODM Program areas and Solution team to drive the Sharepoint based solution implementation.
• Work with ODM SMEs and other stakeholders to validate the high-level intersystem view and to define, document, and validate high-level business requirements and associated business processes (capture in Microsoft Visio);
• Participate in joint application development sessions with ODM SMEs to develop and document detailed functional business requirements; serve as a channel of communications for all levels of business requirements;
• Work with the PM and staff assigned to provide governance and oversight of the ODM applications of SharePoint to understand how the solution should be incorporated into the DAS/ODM SharePoint site and establish the deployment processes following the industry best practices;
• Support Contractor and ODM staff in converting business requirements into functional specifications for setup in SharePoint;
• Review the Sharepoint solutions design, configuration and build created by ODM staff and its contractors to ensure conformance to the established development standards;
• Train and/or mentor ODM state staff in developing and designing Sharepoint solutions;
• Assist the PM and State staff with business analyst support functions and documentation. This will include planning, documenting, coordinating, completing and integrating business requirements and tasks
• Verify that requirements tracing is in place and being followed, and participate with ODM staff in testing/verification that the final implementation meets business requirements;

REQUIRED Skill Sets:
• At least 9 years of MS-Sharepoint development / architecture experience (MS-Sharepoint 2013 and MS-Sharepoint 2010 application/solution design & development)
• At least 5 years of experience as a SME for SharePoint, previously implementing SharePoint-based business solutions, branding, Business Process Automation, Content Management, and Dashboard/Reporting
• At least 1 year of experience using workflow tools such as Nintex or InfoPath

DESIRED Skill Sets:
• 5+ years of MS .NET development
