Technical Specialist 1
The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in data migration and data extraction. The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program. This person will provide technical support to the program and IT offices to ensure the smooth migration of information into, from and between the Ohio Child Licensing and Quality System and ODE data systems. This person will be primarily analyzing data from Oracle and extracting to Excel with some data clean up involved. Ohio Educational Directory System (OEDS) and Ohio Child are the other ODE data system that will be used. Candidates should be fast learners and should be able to take direction. No prior knowledge of these systems is required. All system knowledge will be provided once candidate is brought on board.
Mandatory Requirements -
3 to 5 years of experience with each of the following:
• Data Migration experience
o Data Extraction using PL/SQL
o Data Cleansing
o Exporting Data in an Excel file
• Oracle Databases
• Expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts in data migration and data extraction
Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/ products
• Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product
Desirable Requirements -
• 6 months Informatica experience
• 6 months TOAD and/.or SQL Development
• At least one year of Excel search and formula experience
