Description:
The Social Security Number Removal Initiative (SSNRI) Project Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the project and sub-projects from initiation through closing. Daily interactions of the SSNRI project work will include work with the Ohio Department of Medicaid’s (ODM) Ohio Benefits System Chief, the MITS Bureau Chief, and eligibility policy unit. The SSNRI project manager will work to ensure ODM’s program adhere’ s to CMS guidance that federal requirement to remove social security numbers from Medicare cards and reduce the risk of identity theft for all Medicare beneficiaries is achieved. Other SSNRI requirements include:
• Remove the SSN from Medicare cards and reduce the risk of identity theft for all Medicare beneficiaries.
• The state systems and processes supported may be affected by SSNRI and may require changes to achieve similar goals for states.
• New Medicare cards will be issued with a new MBI to approximately 60 million beneficiaries by April 2019
• In order for States to be fully compliant, policies and systems must be examined and the appropriate changes identified and modifications tested prior to CMS distributing new Medicare cards (est. April 2018)

The project manager will be expected to manage work streams that may include but are not limited to:
• Ohio Benefits system work
• MITS work
• MMIS Procurement Requirements
• Electronic Visit Verification system work
• Sister State Agency (SSA) system impact analysis
• Policy Track
• Training considerations

Responsibilities:
1. Manage, coordinate, and establish priorities for the SSNRI project.
2. Support requirements gathering sessions for all tracks.
3. Manage creation and maintenance of deliverables.
4. Create and maintain project plan, to include timeline, milestones, schedules, etc.
5. Manage communication plan, to include ODM business areas, sister state agencies, and system vendors.
6. Create and maintain regular reports/metrics to measure progress.
7. Assist with test case creation if needed and subsequent testing.
8. Any other PMBOK documentation as needed.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required, preferably in an I.T. / technical field of study.
• 5 or more years’ experience in technical project management.
• 5 or more years’ experience setting work standards for a project team.
• 5 or more years’ experience tracking work products and ensuring project team members meet deadlines.
• 5 or more years’ experience conducting status and staff meetings with stakeholders
• PMP preferred, but not required.
• Medicaid eligibility/systems experience desired.
• Working knowledge of SSNRI desired.
